- Irish punk masterpiece - only 25 years in the making.

- A band that can give Flogging Molly a run for their money

- Strong follow-up to "Valley of Death", but just not quite as good

5. Dropkick Murphys: The Meanest of Times
- Strongest release in a long time

6. McDermotts 2 Hours: Goodbye To The Madhouse

7. Zydepunks: Exile Waltz!

8. The Singing Loins: Drowned Man Resuscitator

9. Amadan: Pacifica

10. Filthy Thievin Bastards:I'm a Son of a Gun

well done, Philip!

Interesting list, as some titles had managed to escape me.
Personally, I'd put Killigans a bit higher ..

Yet I feel the list to be somewhat Anglo-Saxonia oriented.
I'd like to mention two cd's from countries not speaking that tongue:

St Mary's School of Drinking by Mr Irish Bastard from Germany
and
Fat Man's Chest by Circel J from the Netherlands

let me hear your thoughts .. ..

That's very nice, especially considering it's an import that's not available for sale by the lister. Come to think of it, he should be selling it.

No?

I mean, yeah, ok, it's an import. And yeah, the listener probably shouldn't be selling it anyway. But according to Amazon 11 listeners are, in fact, selling starting at $13.84.

No, I mean John Murphy, Shite n Onions, the lister, is not selling the album on his site. I think Shite n Onions would be a natural website to search for (and find) this album for sale.

And I think it's nice that he lists it at the top in spite of the fact that he doesn't/can't sell it himself.

Ahh. I was all confused and stuff.

And yay! Good for him for being willing to say "this album rocks" even if he has nothing to gain by doing so.

Shipping. Expensive. Will wait for a lower total cost. Looking forward to it, though.... :)

...........and for resisting the temptation to mainlist the Mahones album, which he produced.

hmm,
not sure though whether there is sth. like a better or worse music taste,
far from wanting to be judgemental (for once :D ), I just thought it was kinda weird
