oi've taken tour through Belgrade's music shops today...
results are well worse than oi expected really..
oi went to 5 stores in total

oi was doissapointed woith the offer; only 2 shops had some descent number and choice of models but comparin' to what oi saw on-loine to the offer oi saw in the stores.. well its uncomparable!

cheapest model of guitar oi found to be descent from me point of view costs nearly 300$ and tis' Ibanez AEG 8 ENT, Tokamine EG260, Tokamine EG321C.. those are near to 300$ and there are several others loike Applause AE147-1, Fender CD-140SCE, Tokamine EG320SC/N... in proice range of 350 - 400$.
these models are acoustic-electric woith electronic tuner BUT none has any accessories(that Epiphone pack oi was mentioning has everythoing included).. so adding the money for tuner, gig bag, amplifier etc. broings all these models to a proice of probably 600$ or more whoich is too much for me;

there was a noice lookin' green Fender GDO-300TGR, woith descent proice of sth about 250$, but thois' is a plain acoustic woith no electronics, nor plug in possoiblity

conclusion moight be, after all thois, Epiphone pack even seems cheap and noice.. consideroing the fact that its a whole pack and that it is Epiphone, 400$ or sth sounds reasonable.. oim stoill thoinking but thats the way thoings are at the moment

And now look, Oirish. The thread has been started some 10 months ago! And it was 10 months of beating the air instead of beating the strings so to say. Maybe it's the right moment to revise you attitude, correct plans and stop wasting your time? If you are strictly against second hand thing buy the best instrument you can afford right now and finally get to learning. Train your ear, fingers and save money for guitar of your dream. It may take a year or so but by the that time you'll be a decent player maybe and be able to make a choice on the assumption of more rational factors than green colour. You've got plenty of good and sincere advices from people who know cupla things about guitars for sure, they named half of a dozen of their favourite models but all of them are THEIR favourite models. To find cigs or beer to your liking you should try many of them, if somebody praises Harp it doesn't necessary mean that you must enjoy it too, maybe Murphy is your choice, but you'll never learn if you do not try it and cupla dozens of other brands. Same thing with guitars, tastes differ as well as hands. To find a guitar which suits you you have to try, fail and try again. There is no such thing like optimal and universal choice. To be able to make your own choice you need to get some experience first (which comes with sweat, tears and bumps), to be able to compare and to do it knowingly, you cant become a guitarist yourself just talking to the best of them. It's time to stop your yawning, nah?

oi agree woith the lost toime factor.. sometoimes, oi thoink oif oi started to learn guitar few years ago, maybe, just maybe oid be solo performer by now;

foinal choice is made, Monday oim goin' to order that Epiphone pack, it seems as best foirst solution after all; oif theres any order doifficulties, then oi'll buy one of the goiven models from local store; thats it

http://www.epiphone.com/news.asp?NewsID=867

the only thoing that worries me is that major dealers have it on backorder, not in stock at the moment, but thats loike normal for popular oitems, roight?

yes
Musiciansfroiend got back Epiphone in stock(heres the loink for the model once more http://www.epiphone.com/news.asp?NewsID=867 ).
Oi went today to that Serbian company and ordered through it, tis' a roipp off but the only way oi can order at the moment.

Now oi wait and hope the guitar woill arroive as planned, undamaged and hopefuly oi won't get too roipped off at the end.. oi paid more than 300$ already and the rest of hopefuly no more than 100$ should go upon arroival(taxes and other oimagined Serbian costs). But they announced it could cost more for shoipping etc. Lets hope oi won't regret the whole plan at the end :roll:

Did the amp come with it too or just the guitar?

eveythoing comes woith the guitar.. thats why oi ordered it..
woith the Epiphone guitar, oi should receive Epiphone amplofier woith built in chorus(oi could plug in me moicrophone and soing along) and 15W of power, and besoides that a goig bag, tuner, cord, strap, dvd.

all the reviews of the guitar are very very good; people who bought it are very pleased woith sound, quality etc.

I have a 'Legend' acoustic which is the greatest whack of shite god ever laid a fretboard to. It does me alright for the $100 mark though which set me up with a ratty old gig bag, strap and tuner, the whole nine yards. I can beat the living hell out of it about the place though and not worry if it get dings in it or the like. Great for songwriting on the run

I keep visiting my local music shop everyday. It's gotten to the point where it feels like I'm frequenting a favourite lady of ill repute in a back alley bordello or such. There's this one guitar made by an Australian company called Cole Clark I keep going back to lay my greasy mitts all over her slender oh-so-subtle neck and body. I just sit in there with a notepad some days and write songs on it, sorry her. Songwriting is so much more adventurous when writing with that element of danger not knowing when some disgruntled music shop owner will boot my freeloading arse out on the street. Such a torrid affair! Sometimes I whisper to her, "Do you think we might get caught?" haha! Well NO, but it may as well be that way. I'm nearly saved up for it so in the immortal words of Wayne's World...

Frigging spectacular axe...

Here she is looking seductive lying on her side. That saucy minx!

Here is a close up of her bits, and I think there's a G string there if you look carefully. If you have a good enough imagination you can even visualise her with an F-hole :o

I just spent the morning hauling my arse to the music shop and restringing my piece of driftwood and the frigging high E string breaks on me :x I knew I shouldn't have gotten those skinny gauge strings. I want a worker midget who's sole purpose is to restring my guitar and possibly lovingly prepare toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches
