R.I.P. Phillip. I am glad I got to see and hear you perform before we lost your unique talent.

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight."
Khalil Gibran
Mr. C was one of the most delightful humans I have ever met. RIP Sir.

You're a history book, which I never could write
Your poetry in paralysis too sweet to recite
So dress yourself, bless yourself; you've won the fight
And we're going to celebrate tonight
We'll even climbed the pillar like you always meant to
And will watch the sun rise over the strand
Close our eyes and we'll pretend
That it could be the same again
And then I'll bury you upright so the sun doesn't blind you
And you don't have to gaze at the rain and the stars
You can sleep and dream of the Moral Bar
And whiskey in the jar

Just dreadful news .... As said above, the world is a poorer place.
I had hoped the coming shows might mean he was stabilizing or had been given a lease a life ...
Shocked and saddened, and my very good wishes to his family and his life-long friends and colleagues, musical and theatrical.
Philip Chevron: Gentleman, Scholar, Poet & general bright light in the universe
Thank you Mr C.

Absolutely fuckin wounded!! its my birthday today aswell!

Every drink i have tonight is in honor of such a great man! it makes it harder that i feel i know Phil a little bit more than you would any normal idol as he was always happy to have a chat on here and answer questions etc! he even got me on the guest list for the manchester apollo show in 2010! with an aftershow party ticket aswell, i couldnt make it to that due to very heavy snow and couldnt risk the trains being cancelled! in regards to the free tickets he got me i said id give him a big kiss if i ever met him! haha. R.I.P Phil! the music youve created and played for me live the 8 times ive seen you will be apart of my life forever! at least youre not in any more pain! See You On The Other Side mate!, Much Love, Paul!

first time I cried after the death of a musician since 2003, when I heard that Joe Strummer died. Rest in peace, Mr. Chevron. You gave me a lot of good times in my life when seeing you play or just listening to your music

Couldn't say anything better. And fuck the notion of the world being the worse off for his dying. The world is better off for his having lived!

RIP Mr. Chevron
Thank you for all the music, all the great gigs I might had seen and all your posts and humor here on this forum.
My condolences to all the family and other relatives.
I am listening to Tousands Are Sailing right now and know that especially this song will never sound the same again.
