Its always so sad when a true artisan leaves us, particularly when he is part of the finest band ever.

RIP Phil - Your beautiful music will live on and you are now in a far better place free of physical suffering.

The happiness your music brought everyone is the legacy you left us with forever.

We shall all raise a parting glass in fond memory of you.

Sincere condolences to all of Phil's loved ones.

Absolutely devastated fan.

I saw this posted on another site. It's from yesterday:

http://www.rte.ie/player/ie/

Cait O Riordan discussed Philip on "The John Murray Show With Miriam" today.

Click on RADIO, then Radio 1 and type "Miriam" in the search bar. It should be there for the next 2 weeks.

Also Dave Fanning did a wee tribute at the start of yesterday evening's show. Dave did the radio commentary on the night of Phil's testimonial. He said there would be a special show soon when he'll play highlights from the night.

Radio , radio 2 and search "Dave Fanning"

Just sung Thousands to my little boy as his bedtime song - very emotional - he knows the words at 7 years of age - your memory will live on ...RIP

I'm very sad to hear this news. I remember seeing the Pogues in San Diego in 2007, though Phil could not make it that tour due to his health. A couple years later The Pogues returned to San Diego with Phil, and I can't adequately describe how great it felt to hear him sing Thousands Are Sailing. After all the chemotherapy, he seemed so triumphant singing up on stage. Thousands Are Sailing is one of my favorite songs and Phil Chevron is one of my favorite musicians. He will certainly be missed.
