Thank you Philip for all the great memories and music. You will be missed on here. When i went looking for Philips death notice, i typed in Ryan and nothing under the name. Thought maybe the family wanted to keep it private. Then i typed in Chevron, thinking it would yield no result and sure enough there it was. I suppose most people knew him as Chevron

Am not a regular forum user or poster, but a fan who goes to gigs.
I am very sorry to hear of his death. A couple of years ago I went to New York for the St Patrick's day week, and went to see the Pogues on the day itself. I asked some questions here about the gig/nearby pubs to meet fans etc...
I was amazed to get a message from Phillip himself.

It is with tears I say goodbye my friend. May we meet again some day. Thanks for all the wonderful memories. You will be sorely missed.
