Are you going to be there Phil ?

Or is that just the stupidest question I ever thought of  but I just wondered with not being at all well whether you'd be able to attend - that's all

I have a great picture of you jamming with horslips - my friend Brendan thinks from the late 70s - do you have it ???
I'm rubbish with computers but could try and post it here with some help - keep trying to be positive Phil :|

i vey much hope to attend but I am not, as you recognise, in a position to predict my state of health. i may also put in a brief appearance on stage if I can, but at the moment, non-commital vagueness feels like the right policy.

The photo you mention is of The Meanies, a combined band of Horslips and Radiators. It was a once-off gig at McGonagles
around January 1978 or, at the latest, Jenuary 1979. That would by me, bursting with the proud, singing "Dearg Doom".

I've printed my show ticket - ground, standing. :D I would not miss this for the world.

Given that "The Radiators From Space" are on the bill, and not "The Trouble Pilgrims", can we hope that you might be on stage playing with the band, or is the reference to the better known name to avoid confusion?

I'll see if I can persuade the designer, Steve Rapid, to supply an image of suitable quality. Additionally, I guess it's possible some "window card" versions will be avaiable on the night.

Following up - Steve hopes to have a printable version available to us on Monday. I'll post here when it becomes available.

How did you print a ticket? I only saw mail or will call options for USA residents?

I feel the same, but am 95% sure I can't attend. Though I purchased a ticket to treat someone who might not be able to attend otherwise. A proxy!

The only flight I could conceivably afford was a Vegas-Charlotte-Philly-Shannon-on to Limerick with a bus. ride. to. Dublin. I mean wow!, right? Which has since gone up out of my range amongst Summer commitments. I'm in Vegas till the morning before and if my amateur sports betting skills were to improve (5% chance) I'm all about a Vegas to Dublin flight. 8)

Enjoy Dublin.

Frances, I had problems with the Ticketmaster website - it would loop me from " delivery options" (free print-your-own ticket was checked) to payment info which, when my address was entered, Ireland was the only option for the country, with a link for "other countries" which would take me back to "delivery options", etc. I finally just scrolled down and hit on Continue, and my ticket was purchased and I had a link to print it.

Forget the sports bets. Find a nice blackjack dealer with a table of three or four other players and sit down deal from them. Good luck!

OOPS ~~ back to the drawing board. I've cancelled the first purchase, will stand in line with the rest at will call. There's something about the Ticketbastard site that flusters me every time.

The "my account is in the United States" option occurs at an unexpected juncture but if you miss it, it invalidates the whole process while appearing to appease you. It took me months to figure that out. All that said, there is surely no real reason why Print Your Own should not be available to all. I almost never use it - I like tckets.

If we fly (we have the option of getting a ferry also)it will have to be Ryanair as it's the only airline that flies from Liverpool John Lennon Airport now.

Theoretically you don't need a passport to get into Ireland from the UK, just ID so a driver's licence will do, but I would like it as back up. I'm sure it will be here, it's been nearly two weeks since we renewed and they say to give it about three.

Should be able to book flights on line anyway.

But I would love to have that poster, too!
