On Thursday last (22nd) we joined Girls On Top, The Roommates, The Count Bishops and DJ Emperor Rosko for a 30th Anniversary party for the Rads old record company Ace Records. Run by Ted Carroll, Roger Armstrong and Trevor Churchill since 1975, Ace (or Chiswick, as the company was called then) gave recording debuts or early exposure to the Radiators, the Nips ("Gabrielle"), Joe Strummer, Motorhead, Kirsty MacColl, Johnny Moped, Billy Bragg, the Prisoners and lots of other people who had failed to turn the heads of the so-called "majors". As record companies go, Ace count among the good guys and I'm happy to say the party was as cool as those guys deserve. It was at Lock 17 (formerly Dingwall's) in Camden Lock, London.

The Radiators 45-minute set was our first performance in London since 1978. As it was a private party, we could not advertise it on here - there were no tickets available to the public, unfortunately. However, we did want to have at least one Pogues/Radiators fan there to report on it and Celtic Dave kindly accepted the job.

We hope to get back to the UK to do some "proper" gigs next year.

We played:

ELECTRIC SHARES
SUNDAY WORLD
LOVE DETECTIVE
HEAVEN
HUGUENOT
ENEMIES
MILLION DOLLAR HERO
KITTY RICKETTS
FAITHFUL DEPARTED
THEY'RE LOOTING IN THE TOWN
TELEVISION SCREEN 2004
