Philip...Use a Rickenbacker?

Philip,

Have you recorded any songs using a Rickenbacker guitar?

I use a Rickenbacker 12 string electric with the Radiators sometimes. I have used it very rarely with the Pogues - off the top of my head only "Honky Tonk Women" (that's it in the video).

I think the Rickenbacker makes an interesting sound.

I'm listening to the demo version of Haunted on the boxed set, and that sure sounds like a Rickenbacker... Am I right? (This might be going back a bit too many years???)

Hmm.........don't think so. I don't think I had a Ricky by then.

I love Rickenbackers. That sound is wonderful. Not so sure it would suit a lot of Pogues songs though...

Yup - great sound, but kinda limited and a bit un-Poguesey for the most part! (and HARD to play cause-a the narrow neck)
