Jem Finer on tv

Just been on BBC news. Invented a sort of musical instrument that makes 'music' out of the rain and wind etc. Can't imagine Shane singing to it

The Pogues' former banjo player has won the New Music Award for something completely different.

Called The Score for a Hole in the Ground, Jem Finer uses rainwater and wind to create music

Click here and scroll down to "video and audio news" and select "Rain and wind music gets prize" to watch it.

This has been Jem's main project for some time. He was on Today on Radio 4 with it this morning talking about it also (around 7.45 if you use the BBC's Play Again feature) and I must say Score For A Hole In The Ground sounds even more pleasing than I had expected. Fantastic!
