Does anyone have the lyrics for these songs that were released on the Jem Finer publishing sampler? These songs are great.
"Don't talk to me about naval tradition. It's nothing but rum, sodomy and the lash."

Yes I know the lyrics for Streams of Whiskey :D
But keep an eye on http://www.poguetry.com as they will be posted there soon.
Fran Moran has done a great job deciphering them.

Cheers

Poguetry takes a shot at the lyrics

Fran has got a best guess at the lyrics here:

http://www.poguetry.com/pim.htm

Look at the bottom of the page.
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”

I hear the last verse as this, most notably the gaslight light line.

Frog’s at sunset, blues in the night
Kissed by the river in the pale moonlight
The words of the poets roll to the sight
Beneath the moon’s eye and the neon light
Bathed in the glow of an old gas light
Sitting alone it’s a wonderful life
Take me in your arms and hold you tight
Lost in the stars with the satellites, now

Hope this helps someone

Andy.

Has this just broken the reviving-of-oldest-thread-longest-time-after-last-post-in-it record? :)
Likes the warm feeling but is tired of all the dehydration.
