I've been away for a bit, and then, since coming back, the internet connection hasn't been all it could be. Nice to know I've been missed.

We were having the house painted and moved up to the Granny and Granpa's for a couple of weeks. Nice, yes. The in-laws are lovely people. Sorry my absence was on such prosaic grounds. It's good to be back in my own home, putting back all the towel hooks and shower curtain rails, pictures and switch plates. But, jesus christ, it's hot in Los Angeles at the minute, and missing the rain a bit and the airconditioning at the Granny and Granpa's.

Missing the Manchester rain? It's in my bones. Air conditioning in Manchester? Don't think so.
