Has anyone got any of their albums? I've got one 7" single, called "It's Hard", which Darryl wrote. It's quite good. I just wondered what the rest of their stuff is like?

Plummet Airlines - On Stoney Ground lp ( cat number ; hedon 1/2 )
& the 7" Silver Shirt /This Is the World (Stiff Records BUY8)
very much in the same vain as Its Hard/ My Time In a While 7" ( State Records STAT66).
It has been along time since I played them to give them a decent review but remmeber them as "Pub Rock / Bluesy". I think the lp was mostly live recordings which does them more justice than the studio stuff .

Cheers. I'll keep an eye out for their other releases.

Just read a Negative Reaction Interview 1978 with Wreckless Eric that gives Plummet Airlines a mention.

Quote.....Negative Reaction Interview 1978....."
NR: The Hong Kong shirt industry's putting British shirts out of business.

E: I'm not surprised, they're bloody good shirts, I love 'em. Clothes are all riqht, there are some 'orrible ones. Yeah, interesting subject, shirts ...I like that Plummet Airlines song, "Silver Shirt"...The mention of Plummet Airlines brings us on to the subject of a bloke who used to work with that now defunct band, namely Malcolm Morley, better known for his work with Help Yourself, and briefly with Man in their "Rhinos Winos" period. Malcolm, it seems is, currently working with Wreckless in the capacity of musical advisor, but won't actually be in Eric's new band, who are currently coming together with a view to a tour in October....."end quote

I picked up the "Silver Shirt" 7" single at a record fair the other week. The A Side is great. Did Darryl play on that one? There's a picture of the band on the back of the sleeve but it's not all that clear. Anyone?

Plummet Airlines, was a British pub rock band of the mid-1970s, which was originally formed in Nottingham. Band members later joined The Pogues and Darts.
