Ah yes, grasshopper, ... to touch whistle and not to smoke best. But some smoke before to touch whistle -- not end of world -- like breathing in dust storm... one must.
What kind of fuckery is this?

Wouldn't it hurt your whistle if you smoked that way? I don't want burnmarks down there

Not to preempt Spider, but I believe the tin whistle and cigarettes can both be indulged in without exclusion of the other. Not many people do both at once, but I've certainly seen Spider do both more or less simultaneously. That's cos he's a punk rocker.

"Spider Is A Punk Rocker"

Well the kids are all hopped up and ready to go
They're ready to go now
They've got their surfboards
And they're going to the discotheque a go go
But he just couldn't stay
He had to break away
Well New York City really has it all
Oh yeah, oh yeah

Spider is a punk rocker
Spider is a punk rocker
Spider is a punk rocker now
He's a punk punk, a punk rocker
Punk punk, a punk rocker
Punk punk, a punk rocker

Sounds logical to me. Maybe Christy Moore had a song about Mr Stacy in mind too, only that he changed the words from "Smoke and strong whistle" to what it is now ...

And the, I´m not sure about "Itsy bitsy spider". Oh dear.
