According to this weeks Irish Voice Newspaper in New York, Shane MacGowan is expected at a screening of "If I Should Fall From Grace" as part of the Craic Fest,which starts in early March in NYC.

Just a week to the event...
Shane IS expected. Organizers DO cherish hopes to get him for the screening of If I Should Fall on the last day of The Craic. On the other hand fans would like to see him in Washington next day, performing with the Pogues. Not that it's absolutely impossible, just a bit shaky balance of interests and hopes. Maybe that's why there is no official notice of Shane's possible attendance on their site. And if there was it would run like this:
He will be there unless shite anything unexpected happens..

With Shane or without him The Craic is quite an event. Both series - music & film - look enticing. The site is full of all necessary info. The last note - Damien Dempsey is playing on 7th, I know there must be fans here..

Damn straight. We DC fans are expecting Shane to be onstage at the 9:30 Club.

The month of March might as well be colored green in every music venue calendar in the USA. Its also the month of my birth (and my daughter's) so there are plenty of reasons to see every great Irish inspired band that passes along the East Coast. I've learned to just build it into the schedule. Told me boss -- I'm useless the week of 10 March.

No, he did not, although he was expected. But according to the organizers "the craic was mighty for 3 days" anyway.
