Ok this topic is no way a dig at Shane and his habits

Just interested

Does the media play up how much he drinks?

Was just wondering is Shane drinking full bottles of Gin daily and is he pissed 24/7 or does he just enjoy going out and getting pissed still and over the years the excess has taken its toll.

He looked pretty fucked on the dvd I saw recently and that was put out about 7 years ago.

See I've done benders but after a couple of days just fucked how does he do it and does he do it in an extreme manner still?

I was just wondering is he EVER sober, is it all racist media hype?

I think the point Simon is making is the man does what the man does and it his is own business and not ours. The Media will say what they want regardless, it sells papers.

A little to much of a personal topic. Yes, the media has for many years blown up Shane's drinking to mythical proportions, if he is photographed with a drink in his hand than automatically people think that Shane is fucked up. But I say let him enjoy his life, it's his liver not ours.

Other than to say that almost all Pogues songs are extremely hard to sing if you are truly drunk.

Define, ‘Smashed’ as you put it. Smashed for one person could mean something else to another. I’ve seen Shane four times in my life. Once with The Popes and three times with The Pogues, I’ve never seen Shane overly drunk and unable to perform
