It made the headlines recently when Keith Richards lit up on stage at the 02 Arena. How is Shane going to cope?

He'll cope just fine... He's used to making the headlines

Ofcourse he will, don´t think he´ll go on stage without a fag.

Last year in Scotland he didn´t care, and they had the ban allready.

He´ll do what he want´s, thats Shane and thats one of the reasons we like him so much.

Shane will smoke onstage and he'll get away with it too. He's been doing it in Ireland since the ban came in.

And California.

And New York.

Anyway, who's going to prosecute him? It only made the headlines when Keith Richards did it because... well it was Keith Richards and some grubby little pen-pusher probably wanted to make an example out of him.

I think Shane will be fine.

He certainly did it in Boston and the police there (both in and out of uniform) didnt seem to care

Ha ha, no. If you try it in The Point you'll get given out to the first time. The second time they'll kick you out.

You can do it backstage though. I think. How would I know?

Technically, no - but I think I've mastered the art of smoking in venue toilets

Since the smoking ban came in, apparently they've made the smoke detectors in one of my local venues more sensitive. Which has led to the fire alarm going off in the middle of two gigs that I've been to recently.

This can be a tad alarming for non-regulars who aren't used to it. "Too much smoke effect on stage," is the usual reason they give.
