Soloalbum by Shane?

Have just seen on youtube Shane together with Christy Moore performing the fantastic version of Spancil Hill
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iUEwB4ME3I
Frank Sinatra did 2 "Duet-albums" and Tony Bennett have done one so far.
It would really be fantastic if Shane did a duetalbum and I think that would be something he would love to do.
Christy Moore, Sinead O'Connor, Bono and Ronnie Drew for example would fit perfect for this. Pogues and Dubliners could be the musicians in the studio 8)

Sorry, I lost the will to live about halfway through that. Goodbye cruel world.

Perhaps, but it's the guests who're giving me gas, not the Musicians In The Studio.

How could I forget Tom Waits
Tom Waits with the Pogues in the studio that would be something 8)
I mean the list could be long with musicians and artists that the Pogues would love to do something with and I think that lots of musicians would love to work with the Pogues

Didn't know that :?
But hey the man likes Shane MacGowan & The Pogues and if they think about the commercial side of this kind of a record it's a bonus to have him on the record
And Phil could come in the day after Bono have left the studio and do his guitarwork and vocals, modern technology you know 8)

Perhaps not. Perhaps he's in the secret Chev-Cave underneath the mansion and is doing the smashing of glasses down there - next to the Chev-mobile.

Surely the Chev Mobile would just be a Chevy?

The Pogues and Tom Waits, Christ I'd sell my house (if I had one to sell) to listen to that recording. You may need a special dispensation from someone in authority to have that many genuises/geneni???? in the same room. Tom and Shane dueting on "Way Down In The Hole" backed up by Phil and the lads.... only one word for it....Christ!
