True or is it just a rumour?

The IFC Henry Rollins Show website only lists shows thru July 18. It looks
like episode #315 would be the one if this is true.

This would be a mind-blowing half hour. I wonder if Rollins would try to intimidate the Pogues like he does with all of his other guests.

Although I have only watched the show a half a dozen times or so I have never seen Henry intimidate a guest. In fact his program is one of the most cerebal I have seen on television lately. What show are you watching?

was footage from the 2006 West Coast Tour. Maybe Mr. Chevron
can add more info, say, if any of the Pogues were interviewed by Mr. Rollins.

Um, well, I honestly don't know much about this, in truth. I think I do remember a Henry Rollins Show got slipped into the schedule at quite a late stage while we were in California last year but, as no one had actually thought to ask us if we wanted to interrupt our valuable free time with a trip to a TV studio, my memory is that we all basically told them to fuck off. Not Mr Rollins, y'understand, but whoever had presumed to fill in the gaps in our itinerary. However, it's quite possible that one or more Pogues did the show anyway, of their own volition.

Appearing on TV is a chore, not a pleasure, whatever this week's latest "reality TV" starlet may claim.

Albeit it's been a while since I've watched the show, but Rollins always seems to conduct his interviews in a very "aggressive"/forward/intense kind of way. He doesn't go out of his way to make his guests feel uncomfortable, but his personality is such that it he tends to dominate the conversation. Maybe things have changed since I last saw the program. Still, he is a very intelligent individual.

Yes, Henry is intense and I like his style. I really became a fan of his when I saw his interviews in the Punk Attitude documentary. I love the part where he talks about seeing the Clash for the first time in DC and how they made the Ramones look like the Beach Boys. If you have not seen this documentary, buy it or rent it right away, it is a must if you have an interest in that time period of music.

I've never seen that documentary, but I'll have to rent it sometime. I actually first became familiar with Rollins as a talking head on MTV, VH1, and other such nonsense programs. He's never at a loss for words, and he has an opinion about everything. ( :wink:
