oi have opposite views
well when he was younger(beginning with the pogues etc.) if was far from what oi see as good hair style.. but from 90s and till now it became the best hair style!

His hair today is a shambles. His hair when he did spancil hill on the late late show or wherever it was was smart slick and stylish, the way all MacGowan's haircuts should be.

Hair can be a mess and rather cool at the same time, I reckon.

I think Shane probably doesn't really give a fuck. Personally I think he still looks like a cool mutherfucker

Shane's hair has been cool most of the time. He is a stylish guy in that he has no style but his own. In 1985 I was in a bar called The Sneyd Arms in Stoke with him and Jem prior to a gig at Stoke Polytechnic and we were discussing hairstyles. He pointed at a big guy with a quiff and said - "that's how I want my hair!"

I´ve read that Shane prepared his hair for ages before making the video to "What A Wonderful World"

Shane's hair always looks good to me, in fact I try and cut my own hair to look like Shane's. I think once you get past the teeth Shane looks pretty damn stylish all round.
His two best looks I think were the sticky outey messy cut I think he had around the height of the pogues fame and the more recent fringey affair and beard combo. I don't know if he still has that but it looks good.
Though I saw him on the Frank Skinner show, not sure when it was from, and he looked awful to my eye. If anyone saw it you'll remember he was all clean looking and his hair was perfectly slicked and he was wearing some bright snazzy shirt, it really didn't suit him, I got the feeling that after the show was over he ran out into the street and grabbed two handfuls of dirt and began rubbing them on him while howling with relief.

maybe we should suggest to Shane a Leningrad Cowboys' style. Can you imagine that?
Oh, and Mr Fearnley would look good too:
