Of course us hard core fans have these on mp3 but its loads better to see the vid to get more of the vibes. MacGowan looks his coolest on here I reckon.

Not really sure where to post this.. I could of sworn there was a thread here the other day that asked "where is Shane MacGowan! anyway - I can tell you he's in Dublin at the moment. He sang with Pete Doherty DOT last night .. I think Pete has a few more gigs.. who knows perhaps Shane is popping along every night?

There you go IR - he's in Dublin.

:)

Ps. I got this from the London Lite newspaper this evening.

Nonono, its not his actual suit as this was recorded in the mid eighties but it is the exact style of tight fitting suit and hat doherty is frequently seen sporting. And yes he did actually join Babyshambles onstage in Dublin this week with Kate Moss to sing Dirty Old Town.

NME:
Babyshambles joined onstage by old pals
Kate Moss and Shane MacGowan sing at Dublin show
Babyshambles were joined onstage by Kate Moss and Shane MacGowan in Dublin last night (September 26).

The Pogues singer MacGowan joined Pete Doherty and the band for a version of folk legend Ewan MacColl's 'Dirty Old Town', which The Pogues covered on their 1985 album 'Rum, Sodomy & The Lash'.

MacGowan has joined Babyshambles to sing the tune before, most notably at this summer's Benicassim festival in Spain.

The loudest cheer of the night was reserved for supermodel Moss' appearance onstage to sing the duet 'La Belle et La Bete' with Doherty, as she had done the night before at the opening night of the tour at Carlow Music Factory.

Earlier, a raucous welcome greeted Doherty as he sauntered onstage to an already euphoric crowd following frenetic sets from The Holloways and The Noisettes, despite the latter's Shingai Shoniwa having injured her right arm before the gig.

Throughout the set Doherty was pelted with towels, shoes, clothes, cigarettes and books, the singer attempting to catch all that was flung his way and even read from a book hurled onstage at one point.

This was the second Irish tour for the band to include guitarist Mick Whitnall, now the full-time replacement for Patrick Walden, who left the band earlier this year.

Babyshambles play the Mandela Hall in Belfast tonight (September 27) before beginning their UK tour at Birmingham Academy on October 1.

The dates are as follows:

Birmingham Academy (October 1)
Leeds University (2)
Southampton Guildhall (3)
Norwich UEA (4)
London Brixton Academy (5)
Liverpool Academy (6)
Glasgow Academy (7)
Nottingham Rock City (8)
Manchester Academy (9)
Newcastle Academy (10)

UNDERCOVER:
Babyshambles Joined By Kate Moss and Shane McGowan
by Andrew Tijs
September 28 2006

In Dublin, Elvin model Kate Moss and polar opposite Pogues singer Shane MacGowan joined Babyshambles on stage.

NME reports that during the September 26 show, MacGowan joined Pete Doherty’s band for a rambunctious rendition of ‘Dirty Old Town’, the Ewan MacColl folk classic made famous by The Pogues on 1985’s ‘Rum, Sodomy & The Lash’. This isn’t the first time MacGowan has performed with Babyshambles, NME noting they did the same song at the Spain’s Benicassim Festival.

Doherty’s girlfriend, hell-raising model Kate Moss joined the band onstage for a rendition of ‘La Belle et La Bete', for the second time during this tour.

NME notes that drug-casualty Doherty was loudly welcomed to the stage, and was pelted with towels, shoes, clothes, cigarettes and books (hopefully with affection). The tour has one more Irish show before continuing through the UK.

It's his talent that produces the fantastic shots.

He has a shot of my two favourite people in the world - Shane and John Bird.

I want it :(
