Not nearly as annoying as the use of "tad".

Go on Niall mate, enlighten me - how much is a tad? Is it bigger than a wee bit, smaller than a bit, less than loads, much less than masses? Is it somewhere between a gnat's, a whisker and a midge's?

I don't know how big one is but it's up there with "mint" and "minging" for words which have infected the English parlance that annoy me.........and don't get me started on "innit". Shuffles grumpily off into a corner with copy of The Oxford Library of English Usage for company

You country bumpkin! Everyone knows that it's like so:

4 Gnat's Whiskers = 1 Twist
8 Twists = 1 Pinch
7 Pinches = 2 Tads
11 Tads = 1 Load
12 Tads + 2 Pinches = 1 Fuck Load
1 day-old Load = 1 Shit Load
2 Shit Loads = 1 Butt Load
1.5 Butt Loads = 1 Crapper Load
5 Crapper Loads = 1 Massive Stink
4 Massive Stinks = 1 Truck Load
1 Truck Load + 5 Pints = The bypass is closed and disgusting for hours

Just posted on your forum Irish Rover and ive got to say that it is friggin excellent.
You can see that a lot of work has gone into it and unlike the rest i love the way that you write...its different....just like shaneo .
For a bunch of guys who worship the unique Shane MacGowan they dont seem prepared to accomondate the unique Irish Rover.
Strange.
Keep up the good work.
