Not nearly as annoying as the use of "tad".
Go on Niall mate, enlighten me - how much is a tad? Is it bigger than a wee bit, smaller than a bit, less than loads, much less than masses? Is it somewhere between a gnat's, a whisker and a midge's?
I don't know how big one is but it's up there with "mint" and "minging" for words which have infected the English parlance that annoy me.........and don't get me started on "innit". Shuffles grumpily off into a corner with copy of The Oxford Library of English Usage for company
