The person who called himself Paul said NOTHING about being back WITH SHANE. Read his post again, attentively this time!

For those a little confused by this - the post being described is:

Name?
Paul 'Mad Dog'

Country?
London

Comments?
Look, I want to set the record straight. I am just one part of the Popes, but to represent my part then I want to say that we are a great band. Live or in the studio we always kick some arse. With Shane or without him. You guys who block up this message board saying all this ****e want to check out what we are doing at the moment. Me and my wife have had a turbulant time but we are getting back on track. I just wanted to set the record straight. The Popes will be back in 2006. In the mean time, any more jokes about me holding Tommys hand will be taken off this message board straight away.
Paul (MDM)

It should be noted that there is no registration in that forum, and "Mad Dog" could be anybody.

What a great site that is. They seem to have a lot of folk who are quite cross about something or other. Our little fourteen year not a scouser buddy would've fitted in well. I thought it must be a link to a special "let's call each other rude names" thread but it seems it's all like that.

I can't quite decide whether to visit it again or poke needles into my eyes.

Soulfinger.. You're right he would of loved it there.

It was sometimes funny to read how some of the posters would get so angry.

I posted there a few times.

Didn't quite feel like home. Although, It has to be said. That Ste fella is a great guy.

:)

Looks like The Popes are really to return...
I don't know if you have noticed it but some days ago there was a link posted to PRS guestbook: St Patrick’s Night at the Drill Hall with The Popes. This gig is listed at Drill Hall's site as well
So maybe someone around Lincoln without certain plans for Paddy Day but with a grain of nostalgia could give guys a second chance? 8)
And if you decide to try, be sure the gig is still on - i mean a phone call to Drill Hall before the event wouldn't do any harm... (all contacts and ticket information can be find on sites mentioned above)
