Oh, you've got to be kidding me. Judging by his motor skills, overall appearance, and what looks like lack of mental sharpness why in the world would "they" plop him up on stage again?

I know some ppl aren't happy but he was the highlight for me last year and I cannot wait for it. If he didn't wanna do it he wouldn't bother. It's a good way for him to perform while only having to do 2 or 3 numbers. Who knows may even walk onto the stage. The line up is very similar to last year. Would love it if Aslan joined the bill again and maybe John spillane. Christy is in the marquee that night

Yeah that sounds more like a freakshow than a performance....the quality of his appearance last time was more than awful.....if he wanted it or not. I would prefer to hear him sing in a studio...but that will never happen again....

Kind of sad that the guy allowed himself to sink to those levels. I'm hoping for a miracle though. Loved the guy when he was at his best.

I don't think anyone who posts here wants to be negative about "Shanoooo"
But the billing for this festival last year was misleading, regarding what to expect from him.
At least they've worded it differently this time, suggesting that he will contribute something, rather than a proper set.
I'd rather save my live memories of Shane when he was in-form, than see him perform like he did last year.
I'm not criticising him. It's actually upsetting to see and hear him like he was that day.

That's fair, he was on the media as if he was an equal part performer, not a one-off guest.

I see Bob Seeger is having a final tour, and cheekily calling it the "Roll Me Away Tour". Maybe Shane could have a "Roll Me Out Tour" where he is rolled out in his chair to mumble one song at the end of the night.

The Liverpool fleadh is up and running. (Favebook it)Few acts announced so far (mary cpughlan, hermitage green theb fureys ) and Dublin legends (dubliners) will be announced along with more tomorrow. Tickets are on sale via eventbrite at the mo. Was gutted with the announcement but it's starting to look up again. Fingers crossed Shanes team have been contacted.
