forgive me if this is sketchy but i was listening to XFM in the car earlier today and they were trailering an ad for gig / award show on Wednesday night @ Koko in Camden (formerly Camden Palace). So, the gist of it is lots of bright young indie things will be there to either play or make an appearance and they definately mention Shane but it's not clear in what context.
Theres some details on Koko website - no mention of Shane yet but they are definately mentioning him on the radio ad:
http://www.koko.uk.com/

Here's some more details from XFM website:
In addition to the awards there will be live performances from 7 bands including some unique collaborations, to be announced closer to the time. The awards and live performance will finish around 11pm when the venue turns into one massive aftershow party with DJ sets already confirmed from rock n roll DJ's.

I notice that Babyshambles are up for an award so maybe he's gonna do a turn with Pete Doherty ?

here they say:
<blockquote><i>With live performances on the night from Shane McGowan, Metro Riots, Dogs, Young Offenders Institute and many more TBA, including very special guests and artist collaborations.</i></blockquote>
(followed by <i>"Expect one hell of a night" -- Shane McGowan </i>)

but Shane isn't even mentioned on Musos site...
So, don't hold your breath (as always  )

PS try their contacts to clarify things
