Good to meet you Fr Mcgreer and Mats at the interval.
What a night the highlights for me were Finbar singing Kitty, Bobby Gillespie, Damien and Sinead and getting a ticket to the aftershow party ( meet Spider, Terry etc )
A total one off which will never be bettered

Does anyone have a recording of Finbar

Great to meet you too, Darren. I'm delighted the tickets worked out.

Yes I have a video of Finbar singing Kitty and it'll be shared as soon as I can get time to edit the shite out and upload it. Also Cerys singing Broad Majestic Shannon, Damon doing Streams, Camille doing Song With No Name. Stay tuned.

What a fantastic night it was. The opening with Gabrielle and Hot Dogs With Everything must have come as a shock to the large number of posh people in the audience who only know about Fairytale Of New York. I´m sure half the crowd was specially invited and didn´t have to shout in anger because the website crashed or wait outside for 5 five hours to get a ticket. Should have been at the Olympia or somewhere else so more fans could have seen the show.

After That Woman´s Got Me Drinking they changed the backing band the set continued with the Terry Woods, Cait, Spider & Jem together with Sharon Shannon, Steve Wickham amongst others. I really liked how some of the song were arranged in a way to focus on Shane´s lyrics instead of just playing the song as it was recorded. So many highlights but I really loved the version of Birminham Six with Lisa O´Neill, Song With No Name with Camille O´Sullivan, Victoria with Glen Hansard.....oh fuck, I loved them all....except for Bono ;)

I have just posted some videos from the show. Just one link but you can see the others from there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8D6Lx5iIfw

That slowed-down arrangement of 'Victoria' is amazing. It brings out the sadness, but at the same time also the humour. I love it! Finbar's 'Kitty' is lovely too.

Some great videos. Did anybody manage to get an audio recording of the whole gig they could upload? Would make a great companion piece to Phil's Testimonial.
Bono: "Every time I click my fingers a child dies."
Audience member: "Stop fucking doing it then!"

What a night it was. I'm still processing everything we witnessed. I flew in from Boston, MA and just got home last night. I feel privileged to be apart of such an event.

I've enjoyed reliving it through the YouTube videos. There were signs posted everywhere saying that you agreed to be filmed by walking into the concert hall. I definitely saw a lot of professional cameras around filming the concert and crowd shots as well. The YouTube videos are great, but does anyone have any info on where the pro recording might air? TV Special, DVD?
