I wouldn't be so sure. Those who were lucky enough to get a ticket are real fans. They ain't gonna be selling.

I hope you're right - fair play to them if that's the case - but we'll see.

So much for my wisdom. According to a post on NCH Facebook, somebody sold 4 tickets on donedeal.ie for €1200.

From what I heard, for any event on sale there’s a surprising amount of tickets going to scalpers and such. That seems to confirm it.

Maybe I’m stating the obvious, but keep also in mind that the loads of tickets kept back for the elitist fucking shit hole aka cunts in suits may at some time be released since said shit holes decide not to attend such a concert. Often a few days before the show.

One of those occasions when I'd prefer not to be right! These resale websites are just a dream come true for touts. Fuckin parasites.

Oh how I wish they didn't announce any of the guests and maybe we all would of had a better chance of securing tickets. Anyway like everyone else I detest the touts, but on this occasion they are my only hope. I'll pay whatever it takes to get in but I'm not holding my breadth. Shane and Victoria did an interview with Miriam at the weekend, it's on the player. It's the clearest I've heard Shane in an interview in many years. Usual topics, growing up in tipp, how the Pogues started, drink, drugs and this birthday bash concert. To say I'm devastated I'm not going is an understatement.

Exhausted every avenue I know to try and get a ticket for this. Not even a sniff of hope anywhere.
Think I'll apply for a casual job at the venue, then resign the day after the gig.
Has anyone had any success? How about you Fr Mc ?

Yes, i was extremely lucky to get two tickets. It's embarrassing to say i got them when so many real fans are locked out. Just somehow i was lucky on the morning of the sale.

I'm absolutely gutted for everyone who didn't get a ticket.

Anyone know much about the NCH? Is it worth heading to Dublin in the hope of getting sorted from a tout? I know for the usual ticketmaster gigs in most other venues you'd be gramd but this seems to be a different set up
