Apparently one of Shanes' favourite boozers in North London (?) , seem to remember someone telling me there was a Pogues connection to this bar - anyone know what?
Haven't been up there yet but have just moved round the corner so any comments welcome from anyone who's been.

A couple of friends of mine met Shane in there the night I saw him with the popes on Paddy’s day, according to her he was drinking cups of coffee?

and shes only new to living in the country so she went ‘exploring’ one night in North London, what a lucky surprise to have happen to you on your first pub crawl in London.

God Yes!
Have you been up there yet Simon?
I'm hoping to catch a gig up there perhaps.

I haven't been there (too far away), but I know people who go regularly. Good pub, good jukebox, and always the chance of bumping into Shane.

With these being recent photos, I think Mr MacGowan looks pretty damn good compared to some I've seen. Impressed!

Last time Shane played Paddys Day with Popes he did a secret gig at the Boogaloo right beforehand, no Popes but with Pete Doherty, Bap Kennedy and a couple of others under the name Mother Ireland's Darling Sons. They played Lonesome Highway, Cupid and Dirty Old Town. The gig was amazing ... kate Moss behind the bar!

Absolutely -- His album, Seize the Day, is very well produced. He would be great performing a solo, acoustic set or otherwise.

I'll let you know how I get on, right! It's in 2 weeks.
I have to choose do I want a new pair of shoes and a skirt or do I want a night out at his gig. I mean I spend at least £60 on a average night so...... I am still making up my mind.

Go see Damo.
He's brilliant. I think so. Shane thinks so.
I also fancy Damo a bit, though I can't speak for Shane.
