How does one go about meeting Shane Macgowan?

How do you find him? I'm a huge fan of his music and flew to London for a couple weeks to see him live in Greenwich recently. I went to Filthy Mcnastys, the boogaloo, etc. but no luck. Do you just have to be extremely lucky to run into him? I even emailed and spoke directly to management and explained I had flown all the way to London specifically to see The Pogues play and was wondering if I could somehow stop in for a pint and an autograph if he happened to be in the area. The secretary was sympathetic and said she'd forward the message and gave me an email to which I was replied with the standard "sorry we can't help you". I can really relate to Shane as an individual with the overthinking, creativity, originality etc. and his music has basically been inspirational/sound track of my life, that sort of thing.

And please no replies taking the piss, I am really genuine in trying to find a suitable way to at least get an autograph somehow.

Lol, Phil, no problem mate, I was pretty sure that I would not be able to meet him aside from luck should I find him in a random pub. Tell him I wish him good luck on the hair wash. I'm pretty sure he knows me, I was the loudest at the 3 gigs I went to and he recognizes me at each one, waving/blowing kisses etc. Perhaps he just does that towards the loudest fan? Who knows. I'm quite a big lad, was a doorman for 4 years, I'm sure he couldn't miss me! Anyway, pogue mahone! I hope you come to the states soon!
