Thanks for the link!
Loved the video
It was on the 23rd of June
As I lay blasted in my room
A small bird sang on an ivy branch
And the song they sang was the "Jug of Punch"

Thankyou very much for posting this link. Normally have problems downloading video but saw (with buffering) the Road to Paradise video which I helped to film. In the bits outside Bairds bar I am hiding behind the crowd. The guy playing 'harmonica' is Sean Fay and what he's actually holding is a bloody mouse heeheehee. They also filmed me 'playing' a sax (which I did as a favour to the producer!!!! and thank God I'm not in the video.
GREAT to see this!!!!! 8)

It was filmed on 14th April 2004 (remember coz it was my Mums birthday and Shane signed her birthday card for me!!!!!)
Its my plan

Rhiannon
thanks for clarification. I've got another question for you:

The Mirror, 20 Apr 2004:
"Hollywood megastar Johnny Depp is to star in a fundraising music video for Celtic legend Jimmy Johnstone's favourite charity. The screen hunk was desperate to help pal Shane MacGowan in his bid to help beat motor neurone disease. <...> Now the movie idol is to appear with Shane and Phil in the promo for the song. Phil said yesterday: "Johnny Depp is set to be in the video to go with the song."...

Any comments? Was Depp there?

Hello Macrua and happy new year!
Johnny Depp was definitely not in Glasgow sadly!!! I did hear from Phil (Ferns) himself that he did do a little bit of filming for the video but it was not in what I saw yesterday. It may have been in the video for one of the other songs (possibly Dirty ol' town with Jim Kerr) which appeared on the single!!!! 8)
Its my plan

“An’ this is the last of Brummy,” he said, leaning on his spade and looking away over the tops of the ragged gums on the distant range.

Starring Shane? Are you kidding? He will only do a little cameo in the movie. But that's great anyhow.

More information is here.
“I know all those people that were in the film [...] But that’s when they were young and strong and full of life, you know?”
