By chance, I happened to be in line behind Mrs. MacGowan in Dublin one evening. She was picking up her passes and chatting with two fans. I remember how friendly and open she was to the gentlemen she was speaking to. Nothing but a moment in time, but who we are as people are all these moments strung together.
May she rest in peace.

Grief is such a powerful thing, you go about your day stuck between memories and waves of emotion. It's almost an alternate reality, your mind switching from past to clouded present. One can still well up with tears in an instant, years later. Bless.
