Broad Majestic Shannon - collabo version

Good Evening!

I recently came across a version of "The Broad Majestic Shannon" with Shane and Na Comharsana. Shane shares his vocals with a singer who is unknown to me. Can anybody help me and give some information about the record? When was it recorded and who or what exactly is "Na Comharsana"? From Shane's vocals it sounds like something around 1996/1997 to me. While I like his vocal parts, I really don't appreciate the other unknown singer...got a really strange vocal style...anyways, thanks for taking time and reading this

Nice work MacRua,not look at you site for a while . It looks really good.The realeases page is a nice addtion.
Think Shanes tracks with Na Comharsana also made onto a lp cd by the band.
The Cruachan feat.Shane MacGowan Ride On (EP) that I own has a different cover/art work .Is there more than one realease of it ?

You have not inclueded The Sinead OConnor or Marie Brennan releases as yet.Think the Christy Moore track may have been released as a DVD

Just dug out the cds in question .Vocals are Eamonn Bulter , Shane for track 1 The Sons Of Knocknagow .Vocals Shane , John Quirke, John Kennedy for track 2 Broad Majestic Shannon

Thanks to MacRua's great site just gave the ALABAMA 3 - Fix )feat. Shane Macgowan) track a listen . Was not sure what I was especting from this as Alabama3 can be very left field but it was not this.
It sounds alot like goth/dark band Fields Of Nephilim to me .But thats just on first listen.

Only thing of Pink Floyds that I could put him with would be The Wall .

Guess the original quote may be better written/read as collaborated with as opposed to member of Pink Floyd.But the fact remains that there is a very strong connection there.
