Shane Back With The Popes?

About the 100 Club gig on August 15th: Apparantly there is a very good chance that Shane will be there, although whether he'll be performing with The Popes is uncertain. Rumour has it that he's working with The Popes on their new album, Outlaw Heaven - although I haven't seen any official word yet. Could be worth keeping an eye on the information about the gig, anyway.

Although all the posters say Don Letts TBC, he is actually now confirmed to be the guest DJ. I don't know if there are any new posters or whatever knocking about, but it's shaping up to be a great gig!

as foir Shane woirkoin' woith Popes oin theoir new album, that seems unloikely to me, oi've been paoin attention to latest Popes news and MadDog's woirk and theres nothoin' that woiuld suggest soimethoing loike that; further moire, a gooid number of the songs foir new album already seem foinoished, soime(oin oinoitoial versions) were even avaoilable a gooid toime ago at the oild place pumpactionpaddy whoich ois noiw goine.. but thoise who voisoited at the toime had a chance to hear em', oim oine of thoise lucky voisoitoirs.. so tois' goinna be OIutlaw Heaven, Bhoiys Doin't Cry etc; theres new moixes of the stuff noiw, Raw foir example.. and a few days ago MadDog has put a new stuff called Crusoifoied; oif Shaneo ois woirkoin' woith MadDog oin foinal moixoing of the songs and everythoing, oi mean tois' great, but soiunds moire loike a rumoiur

Paul (Mad Dog) McGuinness has just confirmed that It is official, Shane MacGowan is to guest with The Popes at the Alien Jazz party in the 100 Club at 100 Oxford Street, London on Friday the 15th August.
