Does anyone remember a free book that was given away on the 87/88 tour. Its got the Grace with God album cover on the front of it and its some sort of unofficial biography. You can tell its unofficial as every name has a puropseful error ha ha. I was made up with it at the time but it seems a bit poor now (bit like space 1999)

It's not the tour programme you're referring to, is it? I seem to remember that having the same cover. It certainly wasn't free though.

There was a Souvenir Booklet (Official) available inside the venues at the merchandising concession. An Unofficial counterpart, considerably less professionally produced, was on sale outside Venues, along with the dubious t-shirts etc. Neither booklet was free, both turn up on eBay from time to time.

We also produced a booklet for the 1989 tour, mainly comprising stills from the Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah video shoot.

Spooky.

I was spring cleaning the other day and found my official booklet of the 87 tour. I was trying to find a scanner so I could pass it on but now I do not need to.

A touch of ESP perhaps.

I also found a couple of videos where I recorded Top of the Pops, The Tube and The Chart show during 87-88. Not only Pogues but Housemartins, Cure, Smiths, Depeche mode etc. I was going to try to convert to DVD except the quality was piss poor and you guys most probably have seen the performances before anyway.

Such is the life of an idle tosser. Always full of good intent but ultimatley day dreams his day away waiting for someone else to do it.

Ha ha thanks Philip thats the one I bought. I was young and foolish so probably thought it was the official thing. Its funny to read as everything is purposely spelt completely wrong. I also found two tshirts one with a flag on saying Revolution: The pogues and a Pougetry in Motion in one. Both very small. I suppose they must have shurnk as i surely couldnt have grown.

I have the yeah yeah cover one as well where you are all sitting around a fountain on the cover I think.

Outside Rak Studios in Charlbert Street, to be exact.
