just wanted to say that "innuendo" is now officially one of my favourite words. read it out loud, it's wonderful.

And you can rhyme it with "Nintendo".

Just like K7 in their legendary hit "Come baby come!":

"( ... ) DON'T FORGET DA INNUENDO PLAY ME LIKE NINTENDO (...)"

What a useful word. And there I was, thinking innuendo was an Italian suppository.

Or one of the words in the difficult multi-vocal middle bit that makes it impossible to busk 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

I was just asking myself what the meaning of innuendo is...and I'm Italian!
I think it's something technical, related to music because I've never heard it...I thought it meant moving the head along with the music...

when I was in high school it was fairly common for someone in my group of friends to state, "this entire conversation is lined with sexual innuendo." It didn't really matter if it was or not; we always got a laugh out of it. Especially when we had a relative newcomer who would start trying to analyse the discussion to see what was being said that could be construed as such. Plus it was fun to say during class. English class, Social Studies, math, whatever.

"Innuendo" is an unsubstantiated (and often malicious) insinuation. Think of it as the kind of stuff you see in the celebrity gossip rags ...

"Shane has a baby bump? Who's the father?!"

Yeah, but when one is in High School any unrecognized word refers to sex. As such it's trivial for all conversations to be lined with sexual innuendo. :)

And, I might add, "ME TOO!!1!"

The entire statement is clearly lined with sexual innuendo.
