Teetotal Pogues!

AFTER a rousing performance at the Carling Academy Glasgow last week, Shane MacGowan and the Pogues hit the Ubiquitous Chip in the west end to celebrate band member Spider Stacey's birthday.

The 14-strong party enjoyed a long lunch in the Ashton Lane bar and even belted out a few songs, including Happy Birthday.

But the boys failed to live up to their hard drinking reputation - they stuck to mineral water all afternoon!
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Mineral Water?
