I once saw Celtic play at Anfield and as soon as the teams came out onto the pitch the fans exploded into Streams of Whiskey, then proceeded to do a whole Pogues set. After the game they left the ground only for the whole of Anfield to cheer them back in to which they proceeded to do three more numbers which ended with Fairytale of New York with the boys singing Shanes bit and the girls singing Kirstys bit. Its all true

Hahahahaha best start of the day this week!

There's a little game on Saturday I know I'll be watching. And song-wise I know what it'll be like in the pub...

And if the band demurs the slightest in getting on with the setlist, the crowd will fill in spontaneously. That's part of the atmosphere. Great crowd, no violence. Nothing to worry about here. Get right down front and center, you won't get bruised. I loved it. Go fot it.

I once saw the Wolfe Tones at the Barrowlands in Glasgow. The opeing acts were largely football-chanted over, for sure. But it was a different scene when the headliners took the stage - singing along, rather than singing over. So, maybe show up after the opening act if Celtics chants aren't your cup of tea...
