Which Pogue is the tallest? From the different photos I've seen it would appear that Shane was but in other pics it's not so clear.

It's either Shane or Spider or James.

Thanks Mr Chevron, that narrows it down. It hard to tell with James as he seems to be airborne in a lot of photos.

No particular reason at all. It just seemed that depending on the picture everyone was either failrly close in height or that Shane was a good bit taller than everyone else.

It's tricky photographing a group of 8 people. Photographers over the years have sought to keep it interesting with varying perspectives, lenses etc. Some of these have a distorting affect, seen most notably on something like the cover of "Essential Pogues" (Island, 1991).
