Alcohol will kill you just as dead as anything else and cause you just as much misery whilst it is doing it.

I think Heroin & Cocaine are very bad examples here. It was originally an anaesthetic. Much more addictive than alchohol too.

As for Heroin just look at the infections that you can catch, & that's just from using the equipment. People don't seem to manage it as well as they do with alchohol. Collapsed veins aren't much fun either.

Interesting chart released a while back

And if you buy drugs you're funding organized crime. This summer someone was shot dead about a mile from my place, and a couple of people were shot in a restaurant two blocks from my home a month or two ago. 8 people have been killed this month here, in a city which has what? about 20 murders a year.

What's the difference between being a pisshead and an alcoholic?
It seems to me to be a case of the others persons (or media) perspective?
I wish I'd done biology for an urge within me wanted to do it then

A shot in the dark?

Might be nice if Quick Draw McRua covered those tracks. Were Miss Walshy's musings on adultery, which I didn't read, any worse? Sex and death indeed. :?

And you have doubts they fit my type? You decide, but why did you suggest me to cover them then? Find another performer..

I think it just depends in whose hands the intoxicant is in and that they know how far they should go. However, i would certainly not tell my kids that alcohol is of equal danger as cocaine and heroin. Let us not forget the dealers of such substances who target youngsters, ruin their lives and are able to use this as their main source of income.

As for the pogues and drugs, I always found they didn't go together well
Booze is the thing of chioice for a pogues listen
especially Rum Sodomy and the Lash

as for other drugs...
i'll stick with my non-addictive and virtually harmless hallucinogens thanks
