Are there any songs that The Pogues do that are not in 4/4?
Like "The band played waltzing matilda" 3/4

at least - that's the way they're listed in the sheet music book I have...

and there are others that jump all over the place...part of what makes the songs so much fun...

Well, yes, though 6/8 and 12/8 are just compounds of 3/4 really. Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music (the one with "Send In The Clowns") is written almost entirely in variations of triple time.

FONY has some interesting signature changes.. and even those of you who don't read music will know where at least some of them are... that bit at the end where you'd think the drum "fill" would stop just a fraction before where it does... that's no accident. Well that's a silly comment... I daresay there's no part of that song that is an "accident"...

Re Brown Eyes, def 12/8 @ tempo somewhere btwn 55-56, or at least that's how sounds to me and my metronome may be a bit fast/slow. prob 12/8 @ 56 bpm. happy to be corrected, of course!

also seems you'd mark the C intro 3/4. 12/8 from there out. is that right?
