Well, they might not strictly reduce me to tears but at the very least they can conjure a fairly big lump in the throat:
'Delgado' - Gene Clark & Carla Olson
'Hurt' - Johnny Cash
'Haunted' - Pogues (version from Sid & Nancy)
'Wish you were here' Pink Floyd

Well, I'm a sentimental fool, and certain songs do it every time.

Dylan's My Back Pages (I love the Byrds' version, but only Bob's makes me cry)
Kinks' Waterloo Sunset
Shipbuilding (Wyatt's version more than Costello's, although that one can do it as well)
Costello's London's Brilliant Parade (which figures, seeing as how it's his version of Waterloo Sunset)

and from the Pogues - Waltzing Matilda and Thousands are Sailing. Every time.

I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish (It's a Wigan Thing, anyone who ever went to the Casino and saw 8 a.m. will know what I mean)

A Pair of brown eyes, Rainy night in Soho, Fairytale of New York, More pricks then kicks (can that count?) if so Lonesome Highway. Good luck with promotion to the Premiership soulfire, assuming you’re a Wigan fan.

a pogues song that always makes me cry is thousands are sailing. it for some reason reminds me of my pop-pop. he raised his family and worked his farm all his life then had to move to philadelphia, but never wanted to (long story, to long for here), then never set foot on irish soil again. but he embraced this country while always thinkng of home till the day he died. he always had a song for his grandkids, so when the line comes "and we danced to the music and we danced, i often lose it.

I also had a Pop-Pop, but it was his father who immigrated, and it was to DC rather than to Philadelphia. But "Thousands Are Sailing" brings a tear to my eye for similar, if not the exact same reasons you've given.

Not to tears, but "Thousands" gets me going , also. I noted in a previous post that it reminded me of my grandmother who came over in 1924 and never went back, even when she had the chance. She didn't want to have to leave a second time. And twice I walked in on her crying to an old Irish album she was playing.
Did the old songs taunt or cheer you, and did they still make you cry?

Fairytale Of New York because it reminds me of what happened to Kirsty and how a great lady was taken away from us.

And Danny Boy sung by Frank Patterson, In my opinion the best version of the song.
