Fairytale Of new York
For personal reasons
When the song was released I was 16 .
My mate was 17 .We both got arrested for being out of it ,in the wrong place at the wrong time in London.
I got bail cos I was a juvenile.
He didnt and to cut a long story short hes dead now.
Emotional times being a teenager in London.
I know its not my fault .
Theres a whole load of other memories i have of this song. One for ecvery Xmas probably .Not all bad luckily but it still makes me cry if Im drunk.

Oh I forgot to say it was Christmas Eve

Wow Dunc, that is a reason for the song to make you cry.

I think Fairytale is not quite the same without Kirsty. Cait sang it excellently but it's just not the same.

Since we're on Cat Stevens, I always found Father & Son to be really touching. A great coming of age song. To bad Ronan destroyed it too.

As I think of it, much of Tea For The Tillerman is sad and meloncholy without being oppressively so. I love that album. I like it more that Teaser & The Firecat, and both of them are much much better than Catch Bull At Four.

But I'm rambling.
