I don't usually cry for Pogues songs, but that all changed at the MEN Arena in December when out of the blue Philip dedicated Thousands to me (amongst others).

Felt a bit of a prat sobbing my heart out because a song had been dedicated to me.

The Whisky Priests once dedicated a song to me: "This is for The Duke of Ingmar. It´s called "The man who would be king". :D

Don´t worry too much. :D

And by the way:
"Now my life is like a river
All sucked into the ground
And then the hammer came down
Lord the hammer came down"

sounds really hurtful.

The one that always gets me is Lullaby of London, not the tune or the lyrics especially but the first time i saw it performed live was in July 2005

Although I am male, and obviously driven by strange hormones that make me think I can open a jam jar, I do admit to crying (once) to

'Fake Plastic Trees' by Radiohead,I think it is the vocals rather than anything else

Kilkelly - Jimmy Keane, Mick Moloney, Robbie O'Connell. It's on the Bringing It All Back Home album, based on the RTE show about Irish music. The song is a selection of letters written by the family left in Ireland to the son who has moved to the US.

nice thread.. got a couple of and i think it's nice to read al of yours.. perfect day lou reed is one, and pair of brown eyes is one that everytime brings a tear in my eye. Let the train blow the whistle - johnny cash I played at my daddies funeral so.. And one "from my youth" is rainy day from Mr review. But something heroic like l'arena by enrico moricone is a song that can put a tear in my eye as well. I think it's nice to share this with each other :)
