The Medusa Fora

Does this song have anything to do with Robert Service's poem "The Cremation of Sam McGee"? I can't make heads or tails of the lyrics, but the poem has a similar rhythm and the same basic rhyme scheme ... you could sing it to the tune if you were so inclined.
