I think The Aria is a much better thought out tune than the cover of Eve Of Destruction - which has a pretty basic chord structure and minimal melody which can't easily be exploited by 7 talented musicians* - The Aria does that in spades!
* which can't really be denied although the depth of the non irish / pogues traditional sounding instrumentals has been a pleasure to discover.
