goes like this....

after if i should fall from grace, the pogues developed testicular cancer.

it wasn't detected early enough, so they had to take of both their balls. doing so, the doctor sneezed and cut their dong clean off.

the pogues went through hormone therapy. this got them back to normal for the most part. but it still wasn't the same, and they developed small man boobs because of the hormones.

finally they committed suicide.

I agree on Shane not being the head (I don't think they had a head in the band), but just how was he like the penis??? Please explain yourself!

what maiji said and...

penises don't think. they see a hot girl and get ready for action. the head is what goes "hmmm, she probably has herpes, i won't do it." there was another reason but i forgot it and can't be bothered to remember 'cause i have to go.

Hmm this might be turning into another pointless fight on here and I don't mean to start one but here you make even less sense than before. How can a penis see? As far as the human anatomy concerned, it only has two functions: urinating and copulating. I still can't see how it all applies to Shane. Not like these have been his only functions in the band. And BTW who do you mean by testicles, to follow yer analogy?
It was on the 23rd of June
As I lay blasted in my room
A small bird sang on an ivy branch
And the song they sang was the "Jug of Punch"

Penis as a source of brilliant lyrics and great sounds...
Unbeatable theory

Does the Brixton gig highlight all 3 nights of the 2001 shows?

according to Phil Chevron on PRS forum some months ago, only the 2nd and 3rd nights at Brixton 2001 were recorded, so I guess it's highlights from those

So i take it you've never listened to Rain Street, In the Wake of the Medusa, Sayonara, Misty Morning, or White City?

What a ridiculous comment.

I do admit nearly all my fav songs come from the MacGowan era, but there are post-shane gems too - Tuesday Morning, Living in a world without her. And Tosspint is just fucking amazing, was half hoping for it on the tour

rain street, white city, and misty morning are some of my favorite songs.

i never said post-shane material sucked. a lot of it just wasn't as good, which seems to be what you're saying too.

Hmm.

Maybe some of the confusion arose from the comment "After if i should fall from grace, the pogues developed testicular cancer." It's difficult to parse that such that it means "A lot of [their material after If I Should Fall From Grace With God] just wasn't as good."

Exactly! *laughs* I'd even make him chicken soup. When he was up for it :)

I like Haunting a lot, but then again I'm particular to those tracks by Terry Woods.
