"I'll Tell Me Ma"
I liked Van Morrison's version with The Chieftains but I think The Pogues would do it a little different....

Phil Coulter wrote the first one and Sean O'Casey the third, both in the 20th Century. Myself, Terry Woods, Ronnie Drew, Eamonn Campbell and Paul Harrigan [as The Hellfire Club] did actually perform "Red Roses For Me" - Ronnie sang - at a few shows in Scandinavia in 2003. (2004?)

Some Irish songs make it to the "tradition" quicker than others. Very flattering, I suppose.

Sorry about that, Mr. Chevron, thought they were traditional songs

Where in Scandinavia did you do these shows, if I may ask?

Um.............I'm afraid I didn't keep a record, therefore we'll both need someone else to answer this question. I know one of them was broadcast live on radio at the time, though I don't think a bootleg has ever emerged, which is perhaps just as well.

Ah, ok, thanks anyway!
Shame I missed it, considering I'm Swedish and all.

Ah well, I'm off now, you take care, mr. Chevron.
And all others for that matter :)
