Well, no, in as much as music is about " taste " and " personal preference " and therefore it can't be " a fact ". But it is a fact in the sense that the world and it's fuckin' mother knows they are the best tracks on it. The fact that two of them were chosen as singles suggests the fuckin' band thought so as well. I'm not saying they're the ONLY good tracks on it, simply that they are certainly the BEST tracks on it. END OF!!

No offence but once again it's complete gibberish. Just look at medusa-member Pyro for instance, what an extraordinary taste she (I assume that she is female) has concerning favorite Pogues songs and stuff like that...well, you don't have to like it of course, but you should accept it because it's her opinion.
Did the Pogues choose "If I Should..." as a single because they thought it was the best track on their LP after FONY? Well, in Clerk's book they have various and quite different opinions on it...who's is the right one now? Jem Finer's? Phil Chevron's? Andrew Ranken's? Nearly everything in this world is a matter of subjectivity...I'm quite sure you know that and I don't want to "teach" you anything, don't think I've got the right or the qualifications to do so, but please stop posting stuff like:

It's a bit annoying to be honest. Lorelei is (in my opinion) a wonderful song.

In the morning- Lorelei is a great song. Great melody and great lyrics. If you read closer you would see that I said there are other good tracks besides the 3 I mentioned. But it is indie guitar pop and not what the Pogues were about. Medusa is entitled to her opinion, good for her. But Hells ditch one of the best Pogues albums ? Well, I'm sorry, but it isn't. While everyone is entitled to their opinion there is such a thing as concensus.And the consensus is that the first 3 albums are what sealed the Pogues legend. The others have their moments but that's all.
Stick " The star of the county Down " and " Every man is a king " on P&L instead of these two and you have a fairly strong, cohesive album. Although like I said, Lorelei is a lovely song. Maybe take off " Tombstone " instead.
