would be awesome if they did - though its obviously going to be that x factor tripe again. not that the charts mean anything, of course - but still, it would be utterly incredible if our boys managed to pull it off!

its at 33-1 at the moment, which makes fairytale about 13th favourite! so will there be another re-release? if so, I'm definitely behind it! can anyone shed any light?

Funny.....I was thinking about this as I woke up this morning. :) No shit. 8)

I'd say it would be tough to get the numbers that were reached a couple years ago, or last year, or whatever year that was when FONY was re-released. But I'd buy it again a couple times if I thought it would ......matter.    :D (oh, the madness)

I view it as a birthday present to Shane at Xmas. :)
What kind of fuckery is this?

So can anyone say if there's going to be a reissue? that would be grand - I'd buy a few copies!

There will be no reissue as such, but FoNY is always available as a download, which is what has propelled it into the Top 5 last year as well as the year before. It seems to me that at the moment, when the Christmas #1 is a marketing device linked mainly to constant Television exposure, a new campaign would be a bit pointless.

Not The Pogues, but Shane is re-recording "Down In The Ground" For a Christmas release.
