Sorry if this question has been asked and answered - if so I couldn't find it - Are there any plans to release the set on iTunes or Amazon MP3 in the States?

I don't know the answer to this question. You may get a more useful response if you email somebody at Rhino Records in the US, perhaps via their website.

Philip,
I got the box set yesterday. It is fantastic. First, the size (like a book) is ideal, the writing and photos are a pleasure to read and look at, and last, but not least, the music is amazing. It is the nicest boxset I have seen. Thank you!
See you March 14 in NYC! (and in Philly if you add a new stop!)
Cheers,
Chad

Unbelievably, and for reasons I can't fathom even for myself, I only just ordered and received the box set. This from a guy who has pretty much spent the last eleven and a half years complaining about the lack of new Pogues-like music. YIKES! What a gift. I am stunned by the quality of this gem--the sound, the selection, and the obvious care that went into its production. Its like pure, warm whiskey. Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved--from the triple-time guitarist and the other lads to the engineers, audiences, and luggers who made this happen. I'm happier than the horse's shite.

After several months of waiting for other people to take the hint and buy me the box set for a gift, I gave up and bought it myself as an early Christmas present. Just finished listening to it today.
I just want to join the chorus of voices thanking PC for all his work on this project. I can't add to the previous comments, other than to say that disc 2 is my favorite, particularly when Shane and Spider doubled on the lyrics. The energy of those tracks is remarkable. And I love getting to hear "Star", one of my favorite classic covers.
So, again, thanks to PC and rest of the band for a great musical treat.

Just to mention it again, the boxset is still the shit. I listen to it nearly every day and it is definitely one of the best things anybody has ever produced, imho.

You need to come to Toronto, Canada. There are some serious Pogues/MacGowan fans here who don't get enough. Please please please come!

Hey there,
I am a long time Pogues fan, grew up in Seattle in the 70's, highschool in the 80's with The Pogues as a main player on my soundtrack of my youth!
We have a small publishing company that we are starting for writers, who don't to water down their work in order to get published.
My husband loves The Pogues track of " The Rocky Road To Dublin".
We just created a landing page for our website, and I wanted to use that song in the background.
a) is that ok? legal? not offensive to the band?
b) how do I obtain a MP3 and ogg file of that recording to use on the web?
We love The Pogues and love that song best sung by Shane.
Hopefully I can make this work.
Thank you!

Bloody hell, that's a bargain.
Is it wrong I feel tempted to buy it even though I have the other one? Hmm.

Well, that was the clincher for me. Just ordered, via the link above, so I also contributed some coin to the fair Medusa I believe.

Good man. Sadly, though, the URL has not yet been modified to throw filthy filthy lucre to Medusa's beer budget. Appreciate the thought though.
Edit: There! Now it will throw filthy filthy lucre at me!

Somewhere on this site, somebody has compiled a list of all officially released tracks/mixes that did NOT make the box set or the remasters. For the life of me, i cannot find it. Anybody else have a clue?
