Which box set did you get? Mine only has 110 songs.

...

Oh. Wait. You're talking "all of them combined." Got it.

With the exception of a handful of extra tracks, live cuts, b sides etc, almost all our recordings, including the vinyl, is now on CD, as covered by the seven remastered studio albums, CD 2 of The Ultimate Collection, the Box Set and Straight To Hell Returns. Pretty much all the Pogues recorded work is now available on those 14 CDs.

230 songs is not enough.

The seven remastered albums
+
the new box set
+
Straight To Hell Returns
=
249 songs

I got the box set today. Been waiting since May. Walked out onto the porch to see the mailman walking up with it late this morning. I was hoping to have it yesterday, since it was my birthday, but I'll settle for a late birthday present to myself!

Listening to it a little at a time and savoring the songs, since this may be the last 'new' Pogues recordings for some time, not to mention some of the last material from the Great Joe Strummer that will be new to my ears.

I'm up the the fairytale demos right now, drinking a pint of Guinness and enjoying every second..

Great work guys, it looks wonderful. There's so much to look at and read. To everyone that doesn't have it just yet, don't worry, it will be well worth the wait.

I do not have all the re-mastered CD's, I am missing Peace and Love (my original CD was in such bad shape I only have 8 songs downloaded).I have the original “Straight to Hell” + “Sid and Nancy”. The "Once Upon a Time" E.P. “The red hot and blue tribute”...The point was I close to doubled my Pogues section of my ITunes with one 62 CDN dollar purchase, I remember paying close to 40 dollars for Red roses("Import”) on CD. ALL IS GOOD :D

That last sentance sounds like a baited hook to me

SUCCESS!!!!!!! The box set has shipped and is en route to my parent's house in VA Beach, I should receive either today or Monday at the latest. Hopefully, I can now put all this waiting behind me. I can't wait to here it, I already know it is going to be great, so I would like to thank Mr. Chevron in advance for all the blood, sweat, and tears that were put in to making this box set possible. You made us Pogues fans proud Mr. Chevron, take a bow, a well deserved bow at that.

Cheers,
Iain

I think my efforts are as nothing when matched against your - as yet incomplete - quest to get hold of the artefact. 8)

Is it my imagination, or does "Lust for Vomit" include some bits which Shane recycled in "A Mexican Funeral In Paris"?

I believe Driving Through The City also has traces of Mexican Funeral in it...

Hey, I saw on the u.s. amazon the set is going for $117. But then there is the import that is available for $60. Is there a difference between the two besides the fact that one is an import? I live in the u.s. and use a mac. Would the import not work in u.s. coded cd players, etc?
